Sridhar Vembu was born in a simple family. He completed his schooling in Tamil language only. He was sharp in his studies from the beginning, due to which he got admission to IIT Madras and from there he completed his graduation. Although he wanted to make a career in the electronics field, but he made a career in computer science. He went abroad for further studies. Due to which in the year 1989, Sridhar Vembu completed his doctorate in Electrical Engineering from Princeton University. While doing his Ph.D. he focused a lot on political science and economics, then he realized that socialism is still the biggest problem in India and needs to be fixed.

Sridhar Vembu started his job at San Diego-based Qualcomm after doing his Ph.D., and after working for about 2 years, he said goodbye to his job. After completing his studies, Sridhar came back to India with his brother and started his entrepreneurship with Advent Net, a software venture. After hard work, he got more than 100 customers here. But in the year 2000, there was a huge change in technology due to the Y2K virus. After which he thought of doing something new. Realizing this thought, he launched his new office suite Zoho. Until then it was dominated by Salesforce’s customer relationship management software and Google Docs.

But Sridhar did not give up and gave a new identity to this industry. In the first year itself, he got a revenue of $ 500 million from it.

Narrating his success story, Sridhar Vembu says that if you have a dream, you need to work hard and manage everything to make it happen.
