Narendra Bansal was born in the year 1963 in a village in the Hanumangarh district of Rajasthan. His father Bhanwarlal Bansal was a businessman and his mother used to handle household chores. Apart from him, there were also 4 younger siblings. He was educated in a panchayat school in the village itself and after a few years, his family settled in Nepal where he completed his 10th standard at Vishwaniketan High School. After that in the year 1980, the whole family settled in Delhi from Nepal where his father started working as a grain trader and then he did his higher secondary education in Delhi itself.

He then started a business selling floppy disks and other computer accessories cheaply from Taiwan and Hong Kong at Nehru Palace, Asia’s largest market for computers and accessories, and then went to Taiwan to sell Ethernet cards cheaply. In which he started earning 100% profit.

Then came the year 1992, in which he along with his brothers took a rental place in Nehru Place and started the business of computer assembly and then in the year 1993 to increase this business, he established a company named International Impex. What was then, in the very first year his company made a profit of 30 lakh rupees. Shortly after this, he also started the business of manufacturing and selling speakers, home theatres, DVD players, etc. through this company.
